A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.

peace

O Lord, you knew me….

O Lord, you have searched me, and you know me.

You know when I sit and when I rise;

You perceive my thoughts from afar.

Psalm 139:1-2

Having children is a great joy in the parent’s heart.  My first child her name is Naomi Mary, I was overwhelmed with so much excitement and mixed emotion that I will become a father.  She was a premature baby for only 8 months and she has to stay for two weeks at the hospital after the delivery for her to regain strength.  Moreover, I saw her at the nursery room, catching her breath and with IV’s on her head and it was a painful experience for a father to watch your own daughter fighting for life.  Now she is 22 yrs old, she finished her college degree and has a job.

This experience reminded me of our God who is a faithful and a loving God.  I believe that God was also excited and overwhelmed with so much joy to see us. He is more than happy that His creation made perfect in us.  The most important thing is that when God’s breathe the mystery of life to us to be part of His life.  I called it mystery of life, because God of His supreme being He manifested his life to us.

King David presenting to us a prayer that we have an intimate relationship with God.  That we cannot hide from God.  God searches every area in our life and He knew us very well.  Nothing uncovers before God, He knows who we are.  He knows our weaknesses and strength.  He knows our triumph and failures.  He knows even what is still in our mind. He knows even what we dreamed about for tomorrow.

The parents have instinct, that if you hear a cry from your child, even you are tired and sleepy; you need to get up and give what child wants.  There are two occasions for a baby to cry, when they are hungry and the other one when they are wet.  I do sometimes wash the milk bottle and preparing the milk, but I did not do the changing of diaper of my daughter. Hahahahaha it is funny for me.

For God, we do not have to cry or having wet so that He will hear us.   He is always in our side and He never departs nor forsaken us.  Not even a single moment in our life that God is away from us. That is the truth and we have to believe the truth.  He knows when we sit and when we rise.    He knows what food we eat and how we are upset about things that happen in our life.  He knows every second in our life.  God wants us to be happy all the time as earthly father does.  He wants you to live a life abundantly and make your dreams come true.

God knows about you, and He will give what is best for you.

Well off in God’s Kingdom. . .

“Blessed are the poor in the spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:3

I grew up in a family with parents who are totally dedicated for their children’s education as their priority and for us to have a good life.  My late father was a public school teacher, my late mother was a plain homemaker, and we are ten (10) children in the family.  Wow, I think my late parents are against RH Bill, hahahaha I am so grateful to my parents that all of us ten children were able to finish our college degree.

Our life is not easy of having a big family whose income is not even enough to send us to school, at the age of 10; I learn to earn a living.  I sell newspaper in the morning, in the afternoon I do shine shoes and in the evening, I do car wash in one of the gasoline station near our house.  I do understand what a poor means to me.  For me a poor, is not being well off or have little money and you need to work very hard to earn.

Jesus in the Beatitudes, he said, “Blessed are the poor in the spirit, for theirs the kingdom of heaven.” The word blessed is a religious word to many and associated of being pious. Some bible translation they used happy to the word blessed.  However, the Greek word of blessed is “makarios”, which means something “truly well off.”  This means to me, that once a person who lacks something, or has little or poor in spirit, that person needs Jesus in his or her life.  A person become “blessed” or truly well off because of Jesus in his or her life, not on his/her financial condition in life but having Jesus as Lord and Savior.  Jesus is inviting us to be in constant fellowship with Him, for the kingdom of heaven is ours.  He wants us to be always in His heart and have a special place to His loving arms and so we are blessed.

We are not complete and we lack something in our life, only Jesus can satisfy the longing of our soul.  In Matthew 7:7 says “Ask and it will given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you.” Asked the Lord to be your Savior and He will come to your life immediately.  The door of His kingdom will open of happiness and joy to your life and you will be blessed or truly well off from this life now and forever.

Life unfolds like a drama . . .

I spoke to the prophets, gave them many visions and told parables through them.”

Hosea 12:10

God communicates His people through prophets in many visions and parables according to the bible verse we read today, I can imagine God is telling stories with all scenery maybe like movies to the prophets about life.  Wonderful isn’t it?

When I was a young boy, I have a friend older than me who likes to tell his favorite stories about Japanese invasion to the Philippines.   I really love it even for the whole day he is telling that stories maybe he invented and exaggerated the stories with all the actions and sound effects with his hands used as bomber plane with sound of bomb explosion can you imagine? Hahahaha funny right!!!

I love to read biography of Saints and great men and women lived in this planet earth. It amazes me.  I read the whole Bible so many times and every time I read it, my heart pumps twice the normal rate because I  feel God is talking to me and telling me stories about life.

Life, you will notice is a story.  Life unfolds like a drama. Life does not come to us like math problem that you need to solve it.  Our daily routine in life sometimes differs from yesterday and today.  Sometimes we are happy and suddenly you are upset.  You have money in your wallet but sometimes you are broke. There are series of events in our life that sometimes we are asking why it happened to us.

Let me tell you a portion of my own life story.  Are you ready for this?

I put up eight (8) business establishments; I started with export trading company, exporting Philippine products to Europe. I have forwarding and customs brokerage of which my main client is US embassy for their commissary, I have international manpower agency, I have trading company selling computers and home appliances, I have Construction Company, I have networking company, I have bakeshop and restaurants and other investments to business companies, it’s big time, but you know what? Those establishments closed down and I ended up with so many debts when I enter politics. Nevertheless, I know my life will not end up that way, because I dreamed and wish that when I close my final days on earth, I did great things for God and to His people. He made stories in our life for us to learn and to do the pattern of life He has spoken and foretold to the prophets and to His living Word. God made a masterpiece for our life, He designed it with the best program and plans that you can imagine, it is marvelous and awesome stories of life that God prepared for each one of us, but it is up to us to follow the pattern and masterpiece of life.

Let us walk and do together to do the masterpiece stories of God in our life. Do not give up, stand up we have enough time to change the course of our destiny and we can finish the story of life with excellence.

To Him I give back all the glory and honor, Praise God in His Majesty.

FOR YOUR NAMESAKE…

Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”

Genesis 11:4

Our human nature intends to have a good reputation, good name in the society, over concerned of what people say.  Just like building a tower that, every one will look up with so much awe and admire with great appreciation.  It cannot be stained or be shame off by any single sin or scandal.  It will be a disgrace and embarrassing if somebody in the family circle will drag the name protected with such integrity.

One man with great military distinct honor and holding several high positions in the government, he was a great man in his family and to even  to his peers.  Then suddenly shocking news spread out that he killed himself because of disgrace and shame.

One of my friend hang himself, because he found out that he has acute diabetes and more painful for him is that he found out that his wife does not love him anymore.  He hangs himself to death because he cannot face the situation and he was ashamed off and felt disgrace.

Shocking event right!!!! Nevertheless, hey, God is not concern about your namesake, your reputation and your honor or integrity.   God is more concern about us as individual person. God is not even concern of the sins we committed; He is more concern of the good deeds you did for Him.  God is not concern about your high profile or high reputation in the society.  He is more concern that you will enter the kingdom of heaven with all the angels and saints welcome you with great honor. You fought a good fight and you finish the race strong.

God has already taken all our shamefulness, sinfulness, disgrace and shame, faults and failures you can name all of it.  God did carry it all and take it from us at the cross in the Calvary.  Our life is like a tower but molded, built and skillfully created by God. He created us according to His image and likeness and we carry His name for our namesake.

Be of good cheer…..
